In-game is where you’re going to be spending most of your time, and it is important that you know how to correctly issue punishments.
False punishments are mistakes that you will be able to learn from, they usually won’t be too large of an issue, unless it's a common occurrence. However, we want to minimize the amount of incorrectly issued punishments if possible. This can be done by actively asking questions, and observing how other staff deal with certain situations.
Whenever punishing someone with the YouTube Rank, Punish them like you would with any other player but make sure to contact an administrator about their actions.
The information inside of this section will also help prevent false punishments,
So please read it correctly, and re-check whenever necessary.
[ ! ] - In the Event that Somebody Needs to be Banned:
If you've warned somebody and they need to be banned, you can kindly ask any moderator or above, through staff chat in-game or inside of the discord to issue the ban. (Make sure to record proof for that staff member.)
[ ! ] - Regarding Activity!
As a Staff Member, we expect you to be reasonably active on the Server. If for any reason you will be unavailable for a significant amount of time, make sure to contact a server administrator
[ ! ] - Regarding Falsely Issued Punishments:
If you’ve falsely punished a player, it isn’t a big deal, try to learn from it.
You can kindly ask any senior-moderator or above to lift that mute via staff chat.
(Use the /staff command to view if any moderators or above are online)
[ ! ] - Regarding Staff Abuse!
We have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to abuse. If you are caught abusing, you will be removed from the staff team completely, and punished accordingly. This could mean being banned from the network completely if necessary.
The first and most basic role of a Helper, is to issue punishments inside of the game server.
In some cases, you may not have had any previous experience. Therefore you may not be very familiar with the common steps and what some things may mean.
If that is the case, It’s recommended that you go through this section.
The first step of issuing a punishment is checking a player’s prior punishment history.
We can do this by using /history for punishments and /warns for warnings. We check a user’s previous punishments, to determine what offense they should be punished for.
Secondly, we’ll need to write out the command with the valid duration and reason.
Generally, punishment commands follow this format:
/<punishment> <player> <duration> <reason> <-s> |
Below are some useful tips regarding punishments:
❖ Duration | Punishment Duration follows this format: 1 hour = 1h, 1 minute = 1m etc
❖ Silent Flag | The ‘-s’ flag is used to publicize punishments. (You do not need to use this, especially during the Helper phase.)
After you punished a user, make sure you gather evidence and save it on your PC.
After you gathered evidence go to #💬 | bot-commands in the discord and follow these steps!
Example.
#⛔ | warns, #🧨| mutes or #💣| bans. This is where all the evidence is stored.
Below is a list of tips which will be useful during your Helper Phase.
Make sure to read through each of them carefully, as it will be extremely beneficial if you are aware of these.
When staffing in the game server, there are a few useful commands which you will be able to use. The commands and their uses will be listed below.
